Today I’ll write about another of my favorite novels - The Legend of Sun Knight by Yo Wo. The book is awesome, as good as ½ Prince - the other really good novel by the same author and the same group translates it too. To read The Legend of Sun Knight or ½ Prince go to princerevolution.org.
You can learn more about the plot from the wikipedia’s article.
I’ll start with something about the story, it may contain spoilers so read at your own risk. I’ll try not to reveal much anyway. Basically, the world of the novel is full of gods and most of them has their own church. In this world of different religions the Church of the Light God is one of the oldest. The main character, our favorite Grasia Sun is the Sun Knight, one of the top positions in it. From the outside it seems that he is bright and forgiving person, always smiling and always telling that the Light God will forgive all. From the inside he is a cynical person, that don’t want to smile or forgive and he is a good friend with a necromancer and a Death Lord.
The novel’s world is similar to Medieval Europe but with the presence of magic, holly light, undeads and gods. The story is full of humour and you will often find yourself laughing while you read it. If you like adventure novels and humour this story is for you. Its on par with books by Terry Pratchett and other world famous authors. I’ll be happy to see this book getting popular worldwide.
The manhua is not as good as the novel but you simply can’t draw inner thoughts. If you haven’t read the novel you would find the manga little boring but after the novel you would rush to read it. You can find it freely available on almost every manga site out there. The art is good, and the story is there … but you miss most of the fun.
